MARVA WRIGHT 3/20/1948 - 3/23/2010 R.I.P.

As many of you know, Marva suffered 2 debilitating strokes a few months back. To help with her mounting medical bills, a benefit will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rock 'n' Bowl following the Saints game.
George Porter Jr. is assembling a house band from his and Wright’s bands. They’ll back a still-growing list of artists that thus far includes Irma Thomas, Irvin Mayfield, Charmaine Neville, Tab Benoit, Rockin’ Dopsie Jr., the Wild Magnolias, the Soul Rebels and more.
An account has been established in Marva's name at Capital One Bank for anyone wishing to help out with donations.
